Spotify might seem like a convenient way to stream podcasts, but they have ultimate control and dictate what is allowed or not and give us no compensation what-so-ever. We are giving them content for free as a way to make it easy for people to discover us. We have been doing this podcast, (not "pod," that refers to the old apple device that delivered the "casts") for free for 17 years as an educational resource for people who love music and like to hear people talk about it. We suggest you use a podcast aggregator instead of any large legacy company service. They can change their mind as the wind blows about what they want to allow on their platform. Often it is next to impossible to contest any takedowns and as content creators that pride themselves on authenticity and uncensored conversation, we recommend using an app like Fountain, Podcast Guru, Podverse, PodCruncher, etc. If you’d like to experience uninterrupted streams of our episodes, we recommend you ditch the legacy apps.
Thanks,
Mark And Jason
